MCV (mean Korpuskularvolumen) refers to the size of individual red blood cells. MCH (mean corpuscular hemoglobin) refers to the concentration of hemoglobin in individual red blood cells. When MCV and MCH are low, it means that the red blood cells are smaller than average (VCM) and lighter than average (HCM), and can not carry oxygen as normal. This is usually caused by iron deficiency.
Red meat contains iron, but also healthier, a multivitamin that contains iron to find.
Do you have any) tested for iron levels or TIBC (total iron-binding capacity? These tests will verify the anemia is iron deficiency.
